Questions?? We have tried to answer them all here to help you feel comfortable before placing your order. Because we are not a general embroidery company, and only embroider special gifts, we have become the best at what we do. Our throws are the perfect accent for the rocker in a sunroom, snuggling up by a cozy fire on a cold winter night, or folded at the foot of a guest bed. They are the perfect size as a bedspread for a twin size bed, great for a dorm room or a motor home.

Production and Shipping
Most personalized orders are processed and shipped within three to five business days of receipt of the order. Processing time does not include weekends or holiday. Mountain time Orders are shipped on business days only, and orders received on weekends will be processed the following Monday.

While all orders receive priority handling in our shop, we understand that ocassionally there is an instance when you must have something shipped out sooner than our normal 3 to 5 day production. When you find yourself in that situation, we offer a RUSH SERVICE. There is an additional charge for this service that will vary with the time of the year and must be quoted individually. However, please make sure you allow for shipping time to meet your delivery needs. If you prefer, we can ship directly to your client, enclosing a gift card from you. Please indicate this need in the "Special Instructions" box as you check out. As usual, each gift will be tied with a big gold bow, wrapped in tissue safely tucked in the shipping carton.

Embroidery
All Fashions by Fran products are embroidered one at a time for you with great care and attention to the smallest of details. Your designs are programmed, spaced and aligned using the names and dates that you have provided on the order form.

The designs have been presented to you with thread color choices that are also programmed at this time. The thread colors for our designs have been chosen to give you the best look for your embroidered product. After your order is embroidered it is trimmed, cleaned of backing and special topping materials. Sometimes you will see tiny pieces of a clear plastic looking layer that did not come completely off during the final inspection. This product is water-soluble and will disappear with the first laundering. It will also just tend to disappear as the afghan or towel is used.
The final step for your items is packaging. Each afghan is folded, rolled and tied with a big gold bow. Gift baskets are shrink wrapped and tied with a bow.

Name Layout
Different designs will allow for a different number of letters within the name area. Generally, shorter names provide a better overall look; so consider using just the first and last name on an individual blanket (leaving out the middle name). On family blankets, try using "The Johnson Family" instead of "Allan and Barbara Johnson." The lettering will be larger and show better in the first choice. We will always use the full spelling of the month (September 17, 1999) instead of abbreviating it to 9/17/99. We feel this gives your gift a more treasured "keepsake" look.

Monogram Layout
The standard positioning for monograms for individual names is with the last name initial in the center and larger. The first and middle initials are on either side of the last initial. The finished look for "Amanda Lee Johnson" would be: "AJL." Likewise, the same format for a couple's monogram would be with the couple's last name initial in the center and each person's first name initial on each side. "Allan and Barbara Johnson" would become AJB.". We will embroider the initials however you provide them on the order form, so please call if you are unclear as to how you would like them to be positioned.

Laundering
All of our afghans, both white and natural, are 100% cotton. We use only the highest quality embroidery threads that will ensure a lifetime of beautiful shine and durability for your gifts. We recommend that they are gently machine washed in warm water and line dried. However a cool, gentle cycle on the dryer will not harm your items.
DO NOT use bleach. Dry cleaning is not necessary. Each afghan comes with a care label attached before shipping so that your recipient will know how to care for their new gift. All of our throws and baby blankets are made in the U.S.A.
